Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
- What we collect: account details you give us, your catalogue and booking data, and the guest details you enter to run trips.
- What we never do: sell your data, market to your guests, or use your business's data to help anyone else's.
- Guest data belongs to the operator who collected it. Siima processes it only to run your operations.
- You can export everything to Excel at any time, and ask us to delete your account and its data.
- Questions: hello@usesiima.com — a person answers.
1. Who we are
Siima ("the Service") is operated by Fourlanes, a software product studio in Kampala, Uganda ("we", "us"). This policy covers the marketing site at usesiima.com and the application at app.usesiima.com.
2. Information we collect
- Operator account data: your name, email address, phone number, company details, and login credentials.
- Business data: your catalogue (tours, prices, availability), bookings, itineraries, supplier records, and payment records you enter.
- Guest data entered by operators: guest names, contact details, and booking information that operators record to run their trips.
- Demo requests: the details you submit on our demo form (name, company, country, contact, what you run).
- Technical data: log and device information needed to keep the Service secure and working.
3. How we use it
- To provide the Service: managing bookings, sending confirmations, receipts, and vouchers on the operator's behalf.
- To bill operators: computing the per-booking commission and issuing monthly invoices.
- To respond to demo requests and support questions.
- To keep the Service secure, reliable, and improving.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use one operator's business data to benefit another. We do not market to guests.
4. Guest data ownership
Guest data belongs to the operator who collected it. Siima acts as a processor of that data on the operator's instructions: we store it, display it to the operator's team, and use it to send the trip-related messages the operator triggers (confirmations, receipts, vouchers). We do not contact guests for our own purposes.
5. Sharing and processors
We share data only with the service providers needed to run Siima — hosting infrastructure, email delivery, and payment processing (PesaPal, for payments and invoice settlement) — each bound to use it only for that purpose. We may disclose information where the law requires it.
6. Export and deletion
Operators can export their catalogue, bookings, and guest data to Excel at any time, directly from the Service. To delete your account and its data, contact hello@usesiima.com; we will confirm and complete deletion within a reasonable period, except records we must keep for legal or tax reasons (such as invoices).
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is role-based within each operator's team, and we follow industry practice for storing credentials. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data, we will inform you without undue delay.
8. Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. After deletion, we retain only what the law requires (e.g., billing records), then remove it.
9. Changes and contact
If this policy changes materially, we will notify operators by email. Questions or requests: hello@usesiima.com, or Block C, Ntinda Complex, Kampala, Uganda.
